If you’re searching for a traffic lawyer in Nambour, start here. We’re not a general practice that takes the occasional traffic matter — our lawyers appear at Nambour Magistrates Court, out of our Maroochydore office 15 minutes away. The Maroochydore magistrates who hear the Nambour list are the same ones we appear before every week — the bench already knows us.

Low, mid & high range — the most common charge in Richlands court. Mandatory disqualification applies; preparation decides its length.
Relevant drug present or driving under the influence — two different charges with very different stakes.
Keep driving for your job after a drink or drug driving conviction — must be applied for before sentence.
Keep driving through a points or high-speed suspension — strict 21-day window to apply.
Serious charges where jail is on the table — run properly from day one, in the Magistrates or District Court.
Completing the Queensland Traffic Offenders Program before court — it runs over 4 days, and we’re a proud sponsor — shows the magistrate you took the charge seriously before anyone made you. Add references and any medical or counselling material.

Nambour Magistrates Court is at 156–168 Currie Street, next to the police station in central Nambour — a small hinterland court, usually one or two courtrooms on a sitting day. Your Notice to Appear names the court and your date.
There’s free public parking at the court and on the streets nearby, so parking is rarely a problem. Nambour train station is a short walk away if you’d rather not drive.
Most matters are listed at 8:30 or 9:00am. Arrive by 8:30am — the security queue takes time, and you need to find your courtroom before the magistrate sits.
Nambour has no resident magistrate — a magistrate travels up from Maroochydore to hear the list, and traffic matters are usually listed on a Monday. Your listing day is printed on your Notice to Appear — we confirm it when we take your matter on.
Nambour has no resident magistrate — a magistrate travels up from Maroochydore to hear the list, so you can’t choose who hears your matter, and neither can we. What we can do is know them: they’re the same magistrates we appear before at Maroochydore every week, and we know what each gives credit for.

Plead guilty and be sentenced (only wise if you’re fully prepared), adjourn to get advice and preparation time — the most common first step — or plead not guilty, and the court orders a brief of evidence and sets a hearing date.
