Our story
Founded on a simple idea: do one thing, and do it properly.

Steven Brough founded the firm in 2010 after more than a decade appearing in Queensland Magistrates Courts. He’d seen how often good people — a nurse, a tradie, a parent — walked into court alone, unsure what to say, and left with a worse result than they needed to.
So he built something different: a firm that does traffic law and nothing else. No conveyancing, no wills, no dabbling. Every lawyer here appears in traffic matters week in and week out, which means we know the courts, the prosecutors and the magistrates — and we know what actually earns credit on sentence.
Today the firm runs matters from eight offices between the Gold Coast and Hervey Bay, and our lawyers appear in Magistrates Courts across South East Queensland and the wider region every day. The idea hasn’t changed: start early, prepare properly, and put your story to the court the right way.
The fixed-fee philosophy came first, and it hasn’t changed: you’re quoted the full price before you engage us, in writing, and it doesn’t move — no hourly billing, no surprise disbursements, no bill shock on top of a court date. If we don’t think a lawyer will improve your outcome, we’ll tell you that on the free first call and you’ll have lost nothing.
Today that service runs from eight offices — Brisbane (Milton), Gold Coast (Bundall), Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore), North Brisbane (Brendale), Ipswich, Logan (Loganholme), Toowoomba and Hervey Bay (Pialba) — and covers 26 Magistrates Courts, from Coolangatta on the NSW border to Bundaberg in the Wide Bay, and west to Toowoomba and Gatton. Wherever your Notice to Appear says, there’s a lawyer here who was in that courtroom recently.
