Low, mid & high range — the most common charge in Richlands court. Mandatory disqualification applies; preparation decides its length.
Relevant drug present or driving under the influence — two different charges with very different stakes.
Keep driving for your job after a drink or drug driving conviction — must be applied for before sentence.
Keep driving through a points or high-speed suspension — strict 21-day window to apply.
Serious charges where jail is on the table — run properly from day one, in the Magistrates or District Court.
Completing the Queensland Traffic Offenders Program before court — it runs over 4 days, and we’re a proud sponsor — shows the magistrate you took the charge seriously before anyone made you. Add references and any medical or counselling material.

Richlands Magistrates Court is on the corner of Old Progress & Archerfield Roads — a large, modern courthouse in Brisbane’s outer south-west, serving Inala, Inala and surrounds. Your Notice to Appear names the court and your date.
There is free parking on-site and on the streets around the court, so parking is rarely a problem. Richlands train station is a short walk away if you’d rather not drive. Allow time for security screening.
Most matters are listed at 8:30 or 9:00am. Arrive by 8:30am — the security queue takes time, and you need to find your courtroom before the magistrate sits.
Richlands Magistrates Court sits Monday to Friday (to 4pm Wednesday) and runs several courtrooms at once. Your listing day is printed on your Notice to Appear — we confirm it when we take your matter on.
Several magistrates sit at Richlands Magistrates Court, allocated to courtrooms day by day — you can’t choose who hears your matter, and neither can we. What we can do is know them: our lawyers appear before the Richlands bench every week, and we know what each gives credit for and what they expect to hear.
