We act for clients across Cleveland, Capalaba, Victoria Point, Redland Bay, Wellington Point, Ormiston, Thornlands, Alexandra Hills and Birkdale — and the Moreton Bay islands — with a date at Cleveland Magistrates Court.
Low, mid & high range — the most common charge in Richlands court. Mandatory disqualification applies; preparation decides its length.
Relevant drug present or driving under the influence — two different charges with very different stakes.
Keep driving for your job after a drink or drug driving conviction — must be applied for before sentence.
Keep driving through a points or high-speed suspension — strict 21-day window to apply.
Serious charges where jail is on the table — run properly from day one, in the Magistrates or District Court.
If you’ve been charged and have to go to court, read us your Notice to Appear over the phone and we’ll tell you exactly what it means and how we can help. Free.
Drink and drug driving are the most common, then unlicensed and disqualified driving, dangerous driving and evading police. Each carries its own mandatory minimums — and its own room to move.
General information only, not legal advice. Every matter turns on its own facts — call 1300 952 255 for free, specific advice.
Steven Brough · Founder · Queensland Law Society member · 25+ years in Queensland courts
Steven founded the firm in 2010 and has spent 25+ years in Queensland Magistrates Courts. The approach he built runs through every drug driving matter our lawyers take on — because for the common charge, a work licence is on the table, and the window to apply is short.
When you call, you're tapping into that experience from the first minute — an honest read on your charge, the realistic outcome, and whether a work licence or hardship order is open to you. If we don't think we can improve your result, we'll tell you.

5 Middle Street, in central Cleveland — a small, calm bayside courthouse serving Redland City, about 35 minutes east of the Brisbane CBD. Nearly every traffic matter in the Redlands is heard here, and represented matters are generally called before unrepresented ones.
Our Brisbane office is in Milton, about 20 minutes from Richlands. Most preparation happens by phone and email; you only need to attend court on the day, and your lawyer is beside you when you do.
Your matter is run start to finish by one of our Richlands regulars — including founder Steven Brough, Russell and Will. The lawyer you speak to is the lawyer who appears beside you.
Address
If we act for you, we text you the courtroom number that morning and meet you outside it.
Call us and you’ll speak with Belinda or Sara — no scripts, no queue, no being passed around. Belinda has 24 years in the legal industry and has taken thousands of these calls; the first thing she’ll do is put you at ease.
Tell her what’s on your Notice to Appear and what you’re worried about. No judgement — she’s heard it all before.

Anything else — the call is free: 1300 952 255, 7am–7pm, 7 days.
You’re not required to have one — but for any charge carrying a disqualification, representation makes a real difference. And the court’s duty lawyer generally cannot act for drink driving and most traffic matters, so there’s no free fallback on the day.
