We act for clients across Inala, Calamvale, Durack, Doolandella, Wacol, Darra, Oxley, Carole Park and Ellen Grove — and everywhere else across Brisbane’s south-west with a date at Richlands Magistrates Court.
Low, mid & high range — the most common charge in Richlands court. Mandatory disqualification applies; preparation decides its length.
Relevant drug present or driving under the influence — two different charges with very different stakes.
Keep driving for your job after a drink or drug driving conviction — must be applied for before sentence.
Keep driving through a points or high-speed suspension — strict 21-day window to apply.
Serious charges where jail is on the table — run properly from day one, in the Magistrates or District Court.
If you’ve been charged and have to go to court, read us your Notice to Appear over the phone and we’ll tell you exactly what it means and how we can help. Free.
Drink and drug driving are the most common, then unlicensed and disqualified driving, dangerous driving and evading police. Each carries its own mandatory minimums — and its own room to move.
A work licence (for drink/drug driving under 0.15) or a special hardship order (for a points or high-speed suspension) can keep you driving — but both have hard deadlines and must be applied for the right way.
Getting a lawyer doesn’t make you look guilty — magistrates expect it. A conviction isn’t automatic. And the free duty lawyer generally isn’t available for traffic matters.
General information only, not legal advice. Every matter turns on its own facts — call 1300 952 255 for free, specific advice.

Steven founded the firm in 2010 with one goal: honest advice, a fixed price, and the best service you've ever had from a law firm. He has spent 25+ years in Queensland Magistrates Courts — the Richlands court among them — and has personally run thousands of traffic matters.
When you call, you're tapping into that experience from the first minute — an honest read on your charge, the realistic outcome, and whether a work licence or hardship order is open to you. If we don't think we can improve your result, we'll tell you.

This is everything people ask us about a day at Richlands court. If we act for you, you won’t need to remember any of it — we brief you the day before and meet you at the door.
Richlands Magistrates Court is on the corner of Old Progress & Archerfield Roads — a large, modern courthouse in Brisbane’s outer south-west, serving Inala, Acacia Ridge and surrounds. Your Notice to Appear names the court and your date.
There is free parking on-site and on the streets around the court, so parking is rarely a problem. Richlands train station is a short walk away if you’d rather not drive. Allow time for security screening.
Most matters are listed at 8:30 or 9:00am. Arrive by 8:30am — the security queue takes time, and you need to find your courtroom before the magistrate sits.
Richlands Magistrates Court sits Monday to Friday (to 4pm Wednesday) and runs several courtrooms at once. Your listing day is printed on your Notice to Appear — we confirm it when we take your matter on.
The court’s running order for the day: every person appearing, their courtroom number and time. Your name appears on it on the day of court only, then it comes down.
One secured entrance for everyone, with airport-style screening. Free parking on-site and on the surrounding streets.

Anything else — the call is free: 1300 952 255, 7am–7pm, 7 days.
You’re not required to have one — but for any charge carrying a disqualification, representation makes a real difference. And the court’s duty lawyer generally cannot act for drink driving and most traffic matters, so there’s no free fallback on the day.
Every review here is a 100% authentic Google review from a real client.
